Businesses in the Midlands are being offered the opportunity to brush up on their tax knowledge and find out about the latest changes and developments at our Annual Tax Conferences to be held in both our East and West Midlands offices.
Our very own tax experts will provide a post-Brexit update on a range of topics, including R&D tax relief and patent box, international tax, capital allowances and land remediation relief claims, and the impact of Brexit on VAT and customs duties.
The conference will also feature a number of local industry guest speakers, including Dr Eugene Michaels in the East Midlands, senior lecturer in economics at University of Derby, and Ginny Hallam, a director at Nottingham-based employment law firm Halborns.
At our brand new West Midlands office at Blythe Valley Business Park, Henrietta Brealey, director of policy and strategic relationships at Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, will discuss local economic indicators and trends.
Simon Baines, partner and head of tax here at PKF Cooper Parry, said: “With the General Election a matter of weeks away and Brexit looming on the horizon, businesses could well find themselves faced with a raft of new and complex tax issues to deal with over the coming months and years.
“Our popular annual tax conference is intended to alleviate any worries or concerns businesses may have by providing practical, up to date information on a broad range of topics. This is a must attend event for businesses both large and small.”
The half-day conference will be held on 23rd May, from 8am – 1pm, at PKF Cooper Parry’s Sky View office, East Midlands Airport.
The West Midlands event will be held at our Park View office on 24th May, from 8am – 1pm.
